Richard Smith to join Facilitation examination panel

Richard Smith has been invited to join the APMG examination panel for Facilitation. APMG-International is a leading Examination Institute which accredits training and consulting organizations, and manages certification schemes for professionals. As part of a new initiative to provide accredited training and professional qualifications for facilitators, an examination panel has been called together with the aim of building a Foundation examination before the end of 2012, with a higher Practitioner qualification to follow.

Accountants' International Conference

Richard Smith was in Paphos today leading the final conference session for around 100 accountants, all members of the Kreston International network. The brief was to engage the whole conference in a practical activity exploring the challenge of leadership in professional practices. The highly experiential session was held in the hotel ballroom, and traced a ‘golden thread’ from Practice performance through the operating culture to leadership styles and choices. Everyone left with much to think about. One participant said: “My boss and I stood in opposite corners of the room when we did the exercise about the Practice culture. We’ve talked about it since – and it was very productive.”
